The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has approved a partial waiver of the “No Work, No Pay” order on striking members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities and ordered the release of four months of withheld salary.
The Joint Action Committee of the SSANU and NASU have suspended their strike action against the Federal Government.

The non-teaching staff of universities comprise of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Non Academic Staff of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) and the National Association of Academic Technologist (NAAT).
