The Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, FCVSN on the 25th February, 2026, inaugurated the Committee on the development of a STEM Transformation Strategy for the Nigerian University System to be implemented by the NUC, under the Agence française de développement (AFD) Blueprint ICT -Dev Project. The Committee is chaired by Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, other members include: Prof. Edu James Inam, Prof. Emmanuel Achor, Prof. Bashir Aliyu, Prof. Stella Nwosu and Prof. Adamu Muhammad Alkali.
The Committee has produced a draft STEM Transformation policy document and will welcome inputs from important stakeholders to enrich the document.
