Mal. Haruna Lawal Ajo has been appointed Ag. Director, Directorate of Public Affairs. The pioneer Director of the Directorate, Mal. Ibrahim Usman Yakasai transferred his Services to Bayero University, Kano after putting over two decades in the services of the Commission. In the letter, signed by the Director of Human Resources, approving the appointment, stated that the appointment took effect from 1st April 2022.
The letter also stated that the appointment was made in recognition of his performance, loyalty, commitment to work and sense of responsibility.The commission looks forward for his cooperation and more dedication in the service for the collective effort of moving the Nigerian University System forward.
Mal. Ajo, until his appointment was the Deputy Director, Public Relations (PR).in the Directorate of Public Affairs.
Mal. Ajo transfered his services from Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic Zaria, Kaduna State where he was lecturing. He joined the services of the Commission in the year 1997 as Personnel Officer I, and rose through the rank to the position of Deputy Director in 2014.
Mal. Ajo is a graduate of English from Bayero University, Kano and got his Masters of Arts in English Literature at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He has worked in various capacity at different Departments of the Commission, he also served in different Ad-hoc Committees both within the Commission and in the university system.
Mal. Haruna Ajo is happily married with children. The Monday Bulletin congratulates him for his appointment.
