The Federal Government has expressed dissatisfaction with the current multiple accreditation bodies to universities, saying the practice where over 25 professional bodies seek to accredit courses in universities at the expense of the institutions is unacceptable.
The Executive Secretary, NUC, Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, FCVSN, on Tuesday, 29th July, 2025, inaugurated a 13- man committee, with the mandate to review the guidelines governing the establishment and operations of private universities in Nigeria.
The Management and Staff of the National Universities Commission received with deep sadness the news of the passing of Professor Jibril Aminu, who died on 5th June 2025.
