The attention of the Commission has been drawn to advertisements by some private organisations offering training and consultancy services aimed at supporting universities/affiliate institutions to achieve successful outcomes in NUC accreditation exercises. The Commission wishes to state clearly that such activities are not organised or endorsed by the NUC.

In the Press Release titled Moratorium on Establishment of Private Universities in Nigeria issued on 10th February, 2025, the Commission announced the commencement of the review of the Guidelines for the Establishment of Private Universities in Nigeria.
