Following the May, 2018 release of a pre-announcement letter to introduce the Africa Centres of Excellence for Development Impact (ACE Impact) Project, so that potential applicants could begin to develop their Proposals, the National Universities Commission (NUC) hereby calls for Proposals from all universities in Nigeria.
The Executive Secretary,NUC, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed has assured that the Commission would continue to encourage and support the establishment of specialised universities and programmes to further enrich the Nigerian University System (NUS), towards moving Nigeria to a knowledge-based economy.
The Management of the NUC last week (Feb. 11th-15th) held its week long annual retreat at the Oxygen Holiday Resort, Owerri to review its activities over the past year and outline activities to carry out in the current year and map out strategies to effectively achieve its mandate.
