The Executive Secretary, NUC, Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, FCVSN on the 25th February, 2026, inaugurated the Committee on the development of a STEM Transformation Strategy for the NUS to be implemented by the NUC, under the Agence française de développement (AFD) Blueprint ICT -Dev Project.
The newly appointed 13th Board of the National Universities Commission has held its inaugural meeting at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja. The Commission is chaired by Emeritus Professor Oluremi Raphael Aina.
The ES, NUC, Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, FCVSN on Thursday 28th August, 2025, received the a 3-Man Delegation from the Agence Francaise De Development (AFD), led by its outgoing country Director, Mr. Xavier Vier Muron on a courtesy visit to his office.
The Ag. ES, NUC Mr. Christopher J. Maiyaki has expressed satisfaction with the tremendous progress made on the implementation of the African Centre of Excellence (ACE-Impact) and Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards Enhancement (SPESSE) Projects by the various Centres domiciled in Nigerian Universities.
As part of its efforts towards the revitalisation of the NUS, the NUC, organised a one-day sensitisation workshop for VCs and DICTs of selected universities on the proposed French Development Agency (AFD) Support for the ICT Component of the Blueprint Project.
