On Friday, July 11, 2025, Ebonyi State celebrated the official presentation of a Certificate of Recognition for the establishment of the University of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering in Ezza, Ebonyi State, by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
Deputy Governor Her Excellency, Princess Mrs. Patricia Onyemachi Obila, represented the Executive Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, during this significant event.
The delegation was warmly received at the NUC Headquarters by the Executive Secretary, Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, FCVSN.
This recognition marks the creation of Nigeria’s 69th state university and the 300th overall, reflecting the federal government’s dedication to improving access to quality tertiary education. With a strong emphasis on aeronautics and aerospace engineering, the university is set to empower the next generation of engineers and innovators, playing a vital role in national development.
