In continuation of the partnership between National Universities Commission (NUC) and University of London (UoL), a 3-day capacity building workshop on Open and Distance Learning (ODL) was organised for academics in the Nigerian University System.
The Federal government has directed all Federal universities operating on temporary campuses to move to their permanent sites for effective coordination. The Minister of Education Malam Adamu Adamu, gave the directive at the 2018 JAMB Policy Meeting on Admissions into Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria, held on Tuesday, 26th June 2018, at Gbongan, Osun State.

The Executive Secretary, Professor Abubakar A. Rasheed, recently received a two-man delegation from the Mexican Embassy in Nigeria, led by the Mexican Ambassador, His Excellency, Alejandro Garcia Moreno, who came on a familiarisation visit to the Commission.

Abubakar and his team paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC) Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed in his office. The visit was a follow up on the previous proposal by the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna to be upgraded to a degree awarding Institution.
