The Federal Executive Council has approved construction of the $50 million (N18bn) Transportation University to be located in Daura, Katsina State which was billed to commence by next year, the Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has said.

The House of Representatives Committee on Tertiary Education and Services last Wednesday held public hearing on nine proposed tertiary institutions.
