All is set for the 2022 Annual Retreat of the National Universities Commission’s (NUCs) Management with Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities.
The Federal Government has said the proposal made by the Prof. Nimi Briggs-led Committee in relation to the demands by members of ASUU and other unions in universities would gulp N1.12 trillion to implement.
The NUC, last Friday 24th June, 2022, hosted the much-awaited 2021 Long Service Award its for staff, who had dedicated themselves to the services of the Commission in the past 15 years, 25 and 35 years.
The NUC hosted the Belgium Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Daniel Bertrand, who led a delegation from Ghent University, Belgium to the Commission in search of internationalisation of its education offering with Nigerian universities.
No fewer than two million resources deposited in form of courseware, lecture notes, textbooks, videos, maps, podcasts as well as conference presentations and journals are currently being warehoused as repositories for Nigerian Universities, established by the NUC in 2017
