President Bola Tinubu has named Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, as the Permanent Secretary of the FME, following the retirement of the substantive Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. David Andrew Adejo, upon reaching the mandatory age from the Civil Service.

The Federal Government has inaugurated an eight-man inter-ministerial committee to investigate the activities of private universities established in the last 15 years.
The committee, headed by Prof. J. D. Amin as chairman, had been mandated to probe degree certificate racketeering by both foreign and local universities in Nigeria.
