1. Staff Mix by rank of 15.5:42.1:42.1 does not meet the BMAS requirements.
2. None of the non-academic staff have benefitted from the University’s staff development programme.
3. Two-way mirror, recording equipment, relaxation area are not available in the counselling centre.
4. There is no provision for individual counselling sessions in the counselling centre.
5. Group counselling room is being used as a staff room.
6. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space.

 

1. The University should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20:35:45.
2. The University should ensure that all staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme.
3. Two-way mirror, Relaxation area recording equipment should be provided in the counselling centre.
4. The University should provide counselling rooms for individual counselling sessions.
5. Counselling rooms should not be used as staff offices as counselling centres should be private.
6. Standard sized academic staff offices should be provided for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 81.93%. It scored 32.5 (98.48%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77.14%) in Staffing, 17 (62.96%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
