1. Non coverage of curriculum.

1. The curriculum of the programme should be adequately covered as Systematic Review I & II, Microbial genetics/molecular biology were not cited and all 30% CCMAS courses be made compulsory.
2. The university should ensure external examiner’s report be more detailed stating clearly the standard of work and instructions.
3. The University should ensure all academic staff benefit from staff development for optimal productivity.
4. The university should ensure all senior lecturers are more spacious and well equipped with good tables/chairs, bookshelves and fans.
5. The University should make available muster points and clearly designated.
6. The university should make available additional copies of textbooks in the library.
7. The University should allocate more funds to the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 91.20%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
