1. The University should ensure more whiteboards and other physical facilities are provided.
2. The university should ensure more staff are employed in the core areas of Biochemistry.
3. The University should ensure all non-academic staff benefit from staff development for optimal productivity.
4. The university should ensure charts, emergency exits and showers are provided in the laboratory.
5. The university should ensure projectors are made available for ease of learning.
6. The University should make available muster points and clearly designated.
7. The university should make available additional copies of textbooks and journals in the library.
8. The University should allocate more funds to the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 88.80%. It scored 36 (97.30%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91.43%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
