REMEDIES

1. The Curriculum is not adequately covered as it largely tilts towards acting and make-up.
2. 83.3% of the non-teaching staff of the programme have not benefitted from staff development in the past three years.
3. Some essential equipment such as smoke machine, follow spots and Digital audio consoles are not available for the programme.
4. Classrooms are not equipped with projector and public address system.
5. The programme is not adequately funded.

 

1. The university should ensure adequate coverage of all aspects of the curriculum to enable students of the programme, more areas of specialization.
2. All non-teaching staff of the programme should be allowed to benefit from staff development.
3. The university should provide all equipment essential for the programme.
4. The university should provide projector and public address system in the classrooms.
5. The University should adequately fund the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 92.00%. It scored 36 (97.30%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (95%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
