1. The staff mix by rank of 24:47:29 was not in line with the NUC BMAS specifications. 2. Only about 50 to 59 percent of Academic Staff had benefited from staff development in the past 3 years. 3. Only about 50 percent of non-teaching staff had benefited from staff development in the past 3 years. 4. Office accommodation was inadequate in space especially for Professors and Senior Lecturers. 5. Laboratory spaces were inadequate 6. More current books and journals are required in the Library. 7. Funding is inadequate

1. The University should ensure that the staff mix by rank is in line with NUC requirements. 2. The University should ensure that staff development for Academic Staff of the Department is improved. 3. The University should ensure that staff development for non-teaching Staff is improved. 4. The University should ensure that adequate office space accommodation is provided for all lecturers. 5. The University should ensure that adequate spaces are provided in the Laboratories. 6.The University should ensure that more current books and journals are procured. 7. The University should ensure that funding for the programme is improved.

The total score for the programme is 80.99%. It scored 31 (93.94%) in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 19 (70.37%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
