1.The number of practical lessons per semester is inadequate
2. The levels of hard and soft skills relevant to the program were not very good
3. The number of academic staff that were in the core subject areas were below 60%
4, Academic and non-academic staff development program are inadequate

 

1. There is need to increase practical lessons at least six per semester
2. There should be deliberate efforts to provide students with the opportunity to improve their skills
3. The department should ensure that additional staff are employed to attain the 75% minimum required by NUC
4. Efforts should be made to improve academic and non-academic staff development program.

 

The total score for the programme is 92.00%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 29 (83%) in Staffing, 27 (100.00%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
