1. The curriculum contains only three (3) innovative courses 2. The curriculum is not adequately covered as major topics such as Linear spaces, inner product spaces and Norm spaces are missing in MTH 4303 (Functional Analysis) 3. There is bulk distribution of examination scores in MTH 4302 (Functional Analysis) 4. Practicals were not conducted in MTH 2308 (numerical Analysis) 5. The proportion of staff core to the subject area provides for only 69.2% of the teaching staff need. 6. Some of the computers in the laboratory are not functioning and the power supply is epileptic 7. There is no public address system in the large lecture theatres 8. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space 9. The Slow internet connectivity impedes access to e-books and journals by students and staff of the programme 10. Funding for the programme is inadequate 11. There is no multidisciplinary approach to research

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the addition of at least four (4) innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load 2. The curriculum should be reviewed to include all omitted topics in MTH 4303 (Functional Analysis) 3. Examination scores should be distributed as prescribed in the marking scheme 4. The University should ensure that practicals are conducted in all practical courses 5. The university should ensure that the ratio of teaching core to the subject area provides for 75% or more of the teaching staff need 6. The University should ensure that non-functional computers are replaced and alternative source of power is provided in the laboratory 7. Functional public address system should be provided in the large lecture theatres for the programme 8. Standard (spacious) offices should be provided for the programme. 9. The University should ensure that internet connectivity is improved upon 10. The programme should be adequately funded 11. The University should ensure that there is multidisciplinary approach to research

The total score for the programme is 82.93%. It scored 31 (83.78%) in Academic Matters, 31 (94.00%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
