1. The curriculum contains less than four innovative courses.

2. The number of technologists in the Public Health Nursing laboratory is not adequate in number.

3. 40% of the academic staff have not benefitted from the staff development programs in the last five years; being it conferences, seminars, or training.

4. The slow internet connectivity impedes access to e-books and journals by students and staff of the Programme.

5. Funding is inadequate.

 

1. The University should enrich the curriculum by adding at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.
2. The University should ensure that one additional laboratory technologist is recruited for the Public Health Nursing Lab.

3. The University should ensure that all the academic staff benefits from the staff development programs.

4. The University should ensure that there is fast internet connectivity access for staff and students.

5. The University should ensure that the Programme is well funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 90.40%. It scored 34 (92.00%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91.00%) in Staffing, 24 (89.00%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (67.00%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
