1. There’s need to include some restricted elective courses in the curriculum such as SED 121: Biology for ISC, SED 122: Chemistry for ISC, SEC 123: Mathematics for ISC, SED 443: Science, Technology and ociety

2. The Funding of the programme is Inadequate.

3. The Panel observe that the department needs to improve on its Research and Collaboration Activities

 

1. The University should ensure that all restricted elective courses are included in their curriculum such as SED 121: Biology for ISC, SED 122: Chemistry for ISC, SEC 123: Mathematics for ISC, SED 443: Science, Technology and Society

2. The University should ensure that the department is well funded.

3. The department should setup a standing committee research and collaboration with other department and agencies for joint research development and collaboration

 

The total score for the programme is 95.04%. It scored 33 (94.29%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 26 (96.30%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
