REMEDIES

1. The curriculum is substantially covered.
2. Continuous Assessment marks were not recorded on students’ scripts.

3. No evidence of minutes of meetings on quality assurance system.

4. No evidence of staff development programme for non-academic staff.

5. Office accommodation are slightly inadequate in space
6. There are no enough safety measures

7. Inadequacy of current textbooks and journals in the library.

 

1. The curriculum of the programme should be adequately covered.
2. The University should allocate all marks of Continuous Assessment (CA) on students’ scripts as a matter of policy.
3. There should be effective quality assurance system with minutes of meeting at all times.
4. The University should ensure all non-academic staff are trained for optimum productivity.
5. HODs and Professors’ offices should be more spacious and en-suit
6. More fire extinguishers should be provided at strategic areas.
7. The University should provide more current textbooks and journals in the library.

 

The total score for the programme is 88.53%. It scored 27 (84.38%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 13 (81.25%) in Physical Facilities, 16.5 (91.67%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
