1. Block marking was noticed in some courses.
2. Practicals conducted did not cover the curriculum.
3. 27.8% of the teaching staff do not have PhD.
4. None of the non-academic staff benefited from staff development programme.
5. There are no preparatory rooms, safety measures and other equipment in the laboratory.

6. Office accommodation were slightly inadequate in space.
7. There are no enough safety measures.

1. The University should avoid block marking of students’ scripts.
2. Practicals conducted should adequately cover the curriculum.
3. All teaching staff should have PhDs.

4. The University should ensure all non-academic staff benefit from staff development programme.
5. The University should strive to equip the Anthropology laboratory with preparatory room, safety measures and other important equipment like: Total Station for physical anthropological analysis, Aerial Survey Drones and Theodolite machine.
6. HODs and Professors offices should be more spacious and en-suit.
7. More fire extinguishers and sand buckets should be provided at strategic areas.
8. The University should improve the internet bandwidth for fast accessibility.

 

The total score for the programme is 86.40%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88.57%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
