1. Standard of Test did not cover the curriculum.

2. Practical work is not adequately covered the curriculum .

3. Internal quality assurance does not exist at all levels

4. Staff mix by rank met only in one category which is Professorial level

5. Laboratory Space meets below 70% of the NUC standard.
6. Laboratory equipment meets below 70% of NUC Benchmark

7. Classroom equipment are not adequate and not well maintained

8. Academic staff office is not adequate in space and not well maintained .

9. Library holdings are not very adequate in number and currency.

10. Funding is not adequate

 

1. Some indept coverage is required to improve since there are few animals in place.
2. University should endeavor to cover all practical works stated in the curriculum.
3. University should create existence of quality assurance at all levels both management, faculty and departments.
4. There should be balance in staffing 20%:35%:45%

5. A more spacious laboratory is needed for the programme
6. University should boost up laboratory equipment to meet up with NUC BMAS
7. There is need to provide adequate classroom chairs and smart boards for the programme.
8. University should provide adequate office space and equipment for the staff especially for senior lecturers and professorial cadres.
9. More current books and journals are needed In the physical library.

10. More funds should be allocated to the department.

 

The total score for the programme is 81.82%. It scored 27 (81.82%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 19 (70.37%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
