1. Standard of Test did not cover the curriculum.

2. Practical work is not adequately covered the curriculum .

3. Students Course evaluation is not adequate.

4. Internal quality assurance does not exist at all levels

5. Staff mix by rank met only in one category which is lecturer 1 and below
6. 62.5% of teaching staff have Ph.D

7. Laboratory equipment meets below 70% of NUC Benchmark

8. Classroom equipment are not adequate and not well maintained
9. Academic staff office is not adequate in space and not well maintained .

10. Library holdings are not very adequate in number and currency.

11. Research and collaboration exist not in multidisciplinary approach.

12. Funding is not very adequate

 

1. Some indept coverage is required to improve since there are few animals in place.
2. University should endeavor to cover all practical works stated in the curriculum.
3. Learning contents and materials should be improved.

4. University should create existence of quality assurance at all levels both management, faculty and departments.
5. There should be balance in staffing 20%:35%:45%
6. University should encourage all teaching staff to obtain Ph.D in their fields.

7. University should boost up laboratory equipment to meet up with NUC BMAS
8. There is need to provide adequate classroom chairs and smart boards for the programme.
9. University should provide adequate office space and equipment for the staff especially for senior lecturers and professorial cadres.
10. More current books and journals are needed In the physical library.

11. There is need to improve on research and collaboration with corporate bodies both local and international.

12. More funds should be allocated to the department

 

The total score for the programme is 76.86%. It scored 25 (75.76%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (85.71%) in Staffing, 19 (70.37%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
