2) Only 60-70% academic staff have benefited from staff development.

1) The University should engage a departmental Librarian and a Cleaner.
2) The University should ensure all academic staff benefit from the staff development programme.
3) The University should improve on its funding of the programme.
4) The department should make effort to engage in more multidisciplinary approach to research.

 

The total score for the programme is 86.70%. It scored 30 (93.75%)  in Academic Matters, 28.5 (81%) in Staffing, 15 (93.75%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
