REMEDIES

1. 45% of the academic staff have not benefited from Staff Development Programme.
2. 71.5% of the non-academic staff have not benefited from Staff Development Programme.

3.Academic Professors staff offices are inadequate in number, and they are not furnished with air conditioners, bookshelves and filing cabinets.

4. The laboratory/studio /workshop of the Environmental
Management and Technology Programme does not have the following essential equipment specified in the BMAS: Soil and noise Water as well as Air Media.

 

1. The University should ensure that all academic staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.

2. The University should ensure that all non-academic staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.

3.Adequate number of well-furnished offices should be provided for the academic staff of the programme.

4. All these essential laboratory/studio/workshop equipment should be provided for the programme in line with the BMAS.

 

The total score for the programme is 85%. It scored 31.0 (94%)  in Academic Matters, 29.0 (83%) in Staffing, 19.0 (70.4%) in Physical Facilities, 18.0 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2.0 (66.7%) in Funding, 2.0 (66.7%) in Research and Collaborations and 2.0 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
