1. Standard of Test and Examinations did not cover the curriculum.

2. Degree projects are not well supervised because some topics are not well structured.

3. 80.9% of the Academic staff and 42.9% of the non-academic staff have not benefitted from the Staff Development programme.

4. Music Laboratory equipment such as Piano, Electronic equipment and African equipment are not available for the programme.

5. Classrooms are inadequate in space.

6. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space.

 

1. The University should ensure that Standard of text and examination is improved upon and covers the curriculum.

2. Degree projects should be well supervised and topics should be well structured.

3. The University should ensure that all academic staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme.

4. All essential Laboratory equipment should be provided for the programme.

5. Standard classrooms should be provided for the programme.

6. Spacious offices should be provided for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 80.80%. It scored 32.5 (87.84%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77%) in Staffing, 19.5 (72.22%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
