1. Philosophy and Objectives are not programme specific (not precise)/not concise and thus, not clearly stated.

2. The standard of tests and examinations for some courses is of poor quality.

3. Marking schemes are not well developed.

4. Furniture in Classroom(s) are not well maintained.

5. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space.

6. Available fire extinguishers and sand bucket are inadequate in number.

7. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

8. There is no multidisciplinary approach to research

 

1. Philosophy and Objectives should be programme specific (precise), concise and very well-articulated in line with those stated in the NUC CCBMAS.

2. The University should ensure that standard of texts and examinations is improved.

3. he University should ensure that the marking schemes
are well developed.

4. Furniture items in Classroom(s) should be well maintained.

5. Standard (spacious) offices should be provided for the
programme.

6. The University should ensure that more fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment/devices are installed at strategic locations for the programme.

7. The programme should be adequately funded.

8. The University should ensure that there is a
multidisciplinary approach to research in the programme

 

The total score for the programme is 85.96%. It scored 25 (89.29%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
