1. There is no Museum for the programme.

2. The classrooms are inadequate in space the fans are not functional and no projectors.

3. Furniture in the classrooms and lecture theatre are dilapidated.

4. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space.

5. The fire extinguishers and sand buckets are inadequate in number.

6. Physical holdings in the library are inadequate for the programme.

7. Funding is inadequate for the programme is inadequate

 

1. The University should ensure that a museum is provided for the programme.

2. Standard spacious classrooms should be provided for the programme.

3. Furniture programmes in Classrooms and lecture theatres should be well maintained.

4. Standard spacious offices should be provided for the programme>

5. The University should ensure that functional fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment devices are installed at strategic locations
6. More current books should be procured for the programme.

The programme should be adequately funded

 

The total score for the programme is 83.20%. It scored 35 (94.59%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (98%) in Staffing, 13 (48.15%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
