1. NON TEACHING STAFF ARE OF GOOD QUALITY BUT NOT ADEQUATE IN NUMBER.
2. ONLY 11 OUT OF 21 TEACH (52.3%) OF TEACHING STAFF HAVE BENEFITTED FROM STAFF DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME.
3. FUNDING FOR THE PROGRAMME IS NOT ADEQUATE.

 

1. UNIVERSITY SHOULD ENSURE TO EMPLOY NON TEACHING STAFF E.G TECHNOLOGIST AND ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF.
2. UNIVERSITY SHOULD ENSURE THAT ALL ACADEMIC STAFF BENEFITS FROM STAFF DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME.
3. FUNDING FOR THE PROGRAMME NEEDS IMPROVEMENT.

 

The total score for the programme is 92.92%. It scored 26 (96.30%)  in Academic Matters, 28 (84.85%) in Staffing, 27 (100.00%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
