1. Agboola Nathaniel Olamide KDU/FAPS/22/043 had an E’ in his Chemistry school certificate and yet to remedy it.
2. The senior lecturer heading the programme is from Biochemistry.
3. The Secretary of the programme has no working tools such as Desktop Computer and the non-academic staff is not adequate in number.
4. 50% of non-academic staff benefited from staff development programme.
5. Internet connectivity on campus is not adequate as students complained about it.

 

1. The University should ensure all the students admitted into the University had the required subjects by the NUC BMAS/CCMAS.
2. The University should ensure the head of the programme is a Microbiologist.
3. The University should provide working tools for the programme Secretary and also employ more non-academic staff.
4. The University should ensure non-academic staff benefit from the staff development programme.
5. The University should ensure the Internet connectivity on campus is improved on.

 

The total score for the programme is 90.40%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91.43%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
