REMEDIES

1. There are no practical manuals and logbooks for student practicals.

2. Students sampled for interaction exhibited a moderate level of proficiency in both hard and soft skills relevant to the programme.
3. The staff mix by rank of 25:25:50 does not align with BMAS/CCMAS guidelines for undergraduate programmes.
4. There are no essential equipment such as blowers and knock-down systems for practical sessions.
5. The University internet connectivity speed at the library was slow during our visit.

 

1. The University should provide practical manuals and logbooks for students’ practicals’ on the programme.
2. The University should ensure students on the programme acquire knowledge above average levels of hard and soft skills relevant to the programme.
3. The University should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 for the programme.

4. The University should provide blowers and knock-down systems for practical sessions.
5. The University should invest in upgrading the network infrastructure to improve internet speed and reliability.

 

The total score for the programme is 92.68%. It scored 31 (88.57%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
