REMEDIES

1. The scores (marks) were not evenly distributed in about 2-3 courses
where block markings were observed.
2. The degree projects were not properly supervised in the sense that the
references in the same are not meet the recent APA standard.
3. It was observed that only three (3) non-academic staff which is less than 70% benefitted from the staff development programme.
4. The laboratory equipment needs auditory trainer, tactile charts and tape recorders in the department.
5. No multidisciplinary approach in the collaborations and research making within and outside the University.

 

1. The University should ensure that the scores are evenly distributed
among the students.
2. The University should make sure that the students projects is thoroughly supervises by their supervisors.
3. The University should ensure that all non- academic staff benefitted from staff development programme by regularly sponsoring them to workshops and conferences.
4. The department should ensure the required equipment are made available for the Confort of the students.
5. The department should ensure that there’s a viable multidisciplinary approach in the research and collaborations.

 

The total score for the programme is 92.00%. It scored 36 (97.30%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (98%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
