REMEDIES

1) in the area of Immunology such as Serological assays are not adequately covered.

2) The internal quality assurance appears not effective in its functions.
3) The staff mix by rank of 30:20:50 does not meet the NUC guidelines of 20:35:45.
4) Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1) The University should make effort to ensure that Serological assays are covered in its practical work.
2) The University should make a deliberate effort to strengthen the internal quality assurance for effective service delivery.
3) The University should make effort to ensure compliance to the NUC guidelines on staff mix by of 20:35:45.
4) The University should improve in its funding of the Programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 87.20%. It scored 33 (89.19%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
