REMEDIES

1. Marking schemes exist, but not well developed.
2. Practicals conducted are of good quality but did not cover the curriculum.
3. Internal Quality Assurance exist but not effective.
4. Some of the staff teaching core courses do not have Ph.D.

 

1. Marking schemes should be well organized and well written to reflect the questions accurately.
2. The facilities for theatre practicals should be revamped to adequately cover the curriculum.
3. The minutes of committees meetings should capture the observations of all activities that require evaluation to ensure quality and standard.
4. The University should ensure that staff teaching the core courses have Ph.D.

 

The total score for the programme is 78.99%. It scored 26 (78.79%)  in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
