REMEDIES

1. There are no problem questions in Legal Methods I and II.

2. Internal Quality Assurance system is not effective as there are no minutes of meetings or evidence of the activities of the committee.

3. 35.7% of the academic staff do not have PhD degree.

4. 33% of the non-teaching staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme in the last three years.

5. Academic staff offices are not well equipped with bookshelves, file cabinets and air conditioners.

 

1. The University should ensure that problem questions are included in Legal Methods I and II.

2. The University should ensure that Internal Quality Assurance is effective to impact on the programme.

3. All academic staff should be encouraged to obtain PhD degree.

4. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.

5. Well-furnished offices should be provided for the academic staff of the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 86.81%. It scored 25 (89.29%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88.57%) in Staffing, 21.7 (80.37%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
