1. Bloc marking is observed in the grading of students’ scripts. 2. The staff mix by rank of 21.9:21.9:56.2 does not meet the NUC approved guidelines in two categories. 3. 31% of the academic staff and 80% of the non-teaching staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme in the last three years. 4. Academic staff offices are inadequate as some Senior Lecturers share offices with Lecturers I. 5. Academic staff offices are not well equipped with bookshelves, file cabinets and air conditioners. 6. Physical library books and journals are inadequate in number and coverage. 7. Subscription to only one relevant database is inadequate for the programme.

1. Well developed marking schemes should be applied in the grading of students’ examination scripts. 2. The University should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 in line with the NUC approved guidelines. 3. The University should ensure that all staff benefit from Staff Development Programme. 4. Standard (spacious) offices should be provided for the academic staff of the programme. 5. Well-furnished offices should be provided for the academic staff of the programme. 6. More books and journals should be procured for the programme. 7. The University should subscribe to at least two relevant databases for the programme.

The total score for the programme is 80.83%. It scored 29 (90.63%) in Academic Matters, 29 (82.86%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
