5. Safety equipment such as smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and sand buckets are inadequate.

2. The University should ensure the effectiveness of the internal quality assurance

3. The University should ensure all academic and non-academic staff benefit from staff development programme.

4. The University should provide spacious and well-furnished office accommodation for staff.

5. The University should ensure the provision of more safety equipment such as smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and sand buckets in and around the Mass Communication studios and other areas.

6. The University should make adequate provision for procurement of smart boards, public address system and other learning made easy gadgets

 

The total score for the programme is 68.56%. It scored 29 (78.38%)  in Academic Matters, 22 (63%) in Staffing, 18.7 (69.26%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 0 (0.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
