1. The Staff Mix by Rank is in the ratio: 18:45:36.

2. Only 2 out of 11 (18%) of staff benefitted from the Staff Development Programme

3. None of the non-teaching staff benefitted from the Staff
Development Programme.

4. Staffing, especially at the lower cadre.

5. Hostel Accommodation for students.

6. Funding for the Programme

 

1. The University should ensure that the NUC recommended
Staff Mix by Rank of 20:35:45 should be maintained.

2. The University Should ensure that all the teaching staff
benefit from the Staff Development Programme.

3. The University should also ensure that the non-teaching
staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme.

4. The University should ensure that more lecturer I and
below, should be employed to compliment the existing staff.

5. The University should ensure that adequate hostel
accommodations are being provided for the students.

6. The University should ensure that more funds are provided
for running the B.Sc. Agricultural Economics and Farm
Management Programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 81.25%. It scored 22 (91.67%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
