REMEDIES

1. Under the staff development policies. Staff are confined within the
university especially those granted post graduate programmes.

2. There is need for more funding of the department

 

1. The University should ensure that staff granted PG programmes
should be given the liberty to move to other environment for more
exposure.

2. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 93.60%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97.14%) in Staffing, 26 (96.30%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
