1. 35% of Academic Staff are not core to subject area
2. Staff Mix by Rank is not consistent in only one category
3. 50% of Academic Staff, 20% of Non-teaching Staff does not benefit from staff development programme for the past three years.
4. Funding of the programme is not adequate

 

1. The Department should ensure that, more than 70% of Academic Staff should be core to subject area
2. The Department should ensure that , Staff Mix by Rank should be consistent in all the category
3. The University should ensure that all Staff benefit from the staff development programme of the university.
4. More Funding should be provided to the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 90.40%. It scored 34 (92%)  in Academic Matters, 29 (83%) in Staffing, 27 (100.00%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1.5 (50.00%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
