1. The quantity of non-teaching staff for the programme are few in number as there are only 5 technologists and 3 non-teaching staff available.
2. Degree projects booklets binding is inconsistent in colour, texture and lettering.
3. There is no access to the e-library network outside the library premises.
4. Transilluminator equipment is not available in the laboratory for the programme.

 

1. The number of non-teaching staff for the programme should be increased.
2. The University should ensure that student’s projects booklets binding is consistent in colour, texture and lettering.
3. The University should make available campus hotspot and internet facilities to enable access from outside the library premises.
4. The University should make available transilluminator equipment for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 93.20%. It scored 35 (94.59%)  in Academic Matters, 32.5 (93%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
