DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. There were editorial errors in some of the questions and marking
guide.
2. Only 18% of the non-academic staff have benefitted from Staff
development Programme.
3. Professorial Staff offices are inadequate in space, not well furnished
and do not have toilets.

4. Some fire extinguishers are expired and inadequate.

 

1. The University should ensure a thorough Internal Quality Assurance
System.
2. All non-academic staff should be encouraged to benefit for staff
Development Programme.
3. The university should provide adequate and well-furnished staff
office accommodation.
4. The university should provide adequate fire extinguishers for the
Programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 91.20%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
