REMEDIES

1. Staff Development for Non-Academic Staff is poor. Only 46.1% benefited from staff development in the last three years.

2. Some of the classrooms were not adequately furnished.
3. Sand buckets and fire extinguishers are inadequate.
4. Space in the laboratory is in adequate for the programme.
5. Physical library books and journals are inadequate number and coverage.
6. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. Every Staff should be given opportunity to undergo staff development programmes to enhance their performance.

2. All classrooms should be adequately furnished and maintained.
3. More fire extinguishers and sand buckets should be provided in the faculty.
4. Adequate laboratory spaces should be provided for the programme.

5. More books and journals should be procured for the programme.

6. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 91.60%. It scored 36.5 (98.6%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (91.4%) in Staffing, 23 (85.2%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
