1. The curriculum is not adequate as some core compulsory courses were omitted.
2. Only three (3) innovative courses were added.
3. Academic regulation exit but not well covered.
4. Marking schemes exit but are not well developed.
5. The degree projects are innovative and creative but not well supervised.
6. Only 71.43% of academic staff benefited from staff development
7. Only 64.3% of non-academic staff benefited from staff development.

 

1. the University should ensure that compulsory core courses are included.
2. More innovative courses should be added to the curriculum.
3. Academic regulation should be well developed.
4. Marking schemes should well developed.
5. The degree projects should be well supervised.
6. All academic staff should benefit from staff development
7. All non-academic staff be encourage to benefit from staff development.

 

The total score for the programme is 89.60%. It scored 29 (78.38%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
