1. There is no evidence of Internal Quality Assurance for the Programme.
2. 54% of the Academic Staff benefited from Staff Development Programme.
3. 87% of the Non-Academic Staff benefited from Staff Development Programme.
4. Laboratory equipment are inadequate and needs upgrading.
5. Funding for the Programme is inadequate.

 

1. Internal Quality Assurance report should be comprehensive and available for the Programme.
2. The University should ensure all Academic Staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.
3. The University should ensure all Non-Academic Staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.
4. The University should ensure the following equipment such as Thermocycler PCR and Stationary Autoclave are procure while Milling Machine,Hardness and dissolution testers should be upgrad.
5. The Programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.00%. It scored 30 (81.08%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1.5 (50.00%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 1.5 (75.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
