1. Supporting Facilities (Projectors) to aid Course Delivery for the programme were not available. 2. Staff Mix by Rank (30:30:40) for the programme is consistent in only one category (Professors/Readers). 3. 50% of the Non-teaching staff have benefitted from Staff Development Programme. 4. Office Accommodation are slightly inadequate in space and not ensuite for the Professorial cadre. 5. Library Holdings for Journals are not very current. 6. The Environment is reasonably safe but lacks fire extinguisher and are not kept clean regularly. 7. The funding is just adequate to keep the department running.

1. The Department should provide Supporting facilities (Projectors) to aid course delivery for the programme. 2. The University should ensure the Staff Mix by Rank for the programme is consistent in all three categories by employing more Senior Lecturers and Lecturer 1 & below. 3. The Department should ensure that all Non-academic staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme. 4. The University should ensure all Office Accommodations are adequate in space and ensuite for the Professorial cadre. 5. The University should procure very current Journals for the Library Holdings. 6. The University should procure more fire extinguishers and ensure that the environment is kept clean regularly. 7. The Department should be adequately funded by the University.

The total score for the programme is 91.74%. It scored 31 (96.88%) in Academic Matters, 32 (91%) in Staffing, 13 (81.25%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
