REMEDIES

1. Students final year projects are not properly supervised due to improper referencing.

2. The Staff mix by rank of 29:29:42 does not meet the NUC-BMAS/CCMAS Requirements.

3. 42.9% of the academic Staff do not have PhD degree.

4. 50% of the Non-academic staff have not benefited from Staff Development Programme.

5. The lecture Theater are not well equipped with Projector.

6. Academic Staff offices are not well furnished and no inbuilt toilet system.

7. Physical Library books are not current in specialized areas like Multivariate Analysis and Regression Analysis.

8.Subscription to e-resources is inadequate.

9. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. Students final year Projects should be properly supervised.

2. The University should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20:35:45.

3. The University should ensure that all Academic Staff obtain the PhD Degree.

4. The University should ensure that all Non-Academic Staff benefited from staff Development Programme.

5. The lecture Theater should be well equipped with Projectors.

6. The Academic staff office should be well furnished.

7. The university should ensure that more current books in the specialized areas should be procured for the programme.

8. The University should subscribed to more data base.

9. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.60%. It scored 32 (86.49%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (86%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
