REMEDIES

1. Equipment in the Laboratory for the Programme such as Rock samples, soil samples were not appropriately displayed, some measuring equipment were not found.
2. Library holdings were of good quality. however more books are needed in the area of Agricultural Education.
3. Inadequate Office Space for the Lecturers.
4. Inadequate Funding

 

1. The University should ensure that equipment in the Laboratory for the programme is adequate.
2. The University should provide more books for Agricultural Education.
3. More accommodations need to be provided for lectures.
4. They should be adequate funding for the operation of the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 78.00%. It scored 30.5 (82.7%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (85%) in Staffing, 19 (70.4%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
