REMEDIES

1. The Staff Mix by Rank of 44:33:24 does not meet the NUC BMAS/CCMAS Requirements.
2. Students Final Year projects are not properly supervised.
3. there is no evidence of Practical work conducted.
4. 42% of teaching staff have not benefited from Staff Development Programme.
5.400 Level dedicated Class room are inadequate in space.
6.The Lecture Theater are not well equipped with projector,Public Address System and Smart Board.
7.Physical Library books are not current and inadequate in number.
8. Funding for the Programme is inadequate.

 

1.The University should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20:35:45.
2.Students final year projects should be properly supervised.
3. Practical work should be Properly conducted and documented.
4.The University should ensure that all teaching Staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme.
5. A spacious class room should be provided for 400 Level Student.
6.The Lecture theater should be well equipped with Projector,Public Address System and Smart Board.
7.More current books should be procured for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 83.20%. It scored 30 (81.08%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
